SEED Group Announces Partnership Agreement with JUSTICE CHAIN as part of Emirates Blockchain Strategy 2021

Washington D.C.-based company JUSTICE CHAIN comes to Dubai to deliver safer communities and smarter cities and help achieve the Emirates Blockchain Strategy 2021 after announcing a partnership with SEED Group.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 09 May 2019

SEED Group today announced that it has partnered with JUSTICE CHAIN LLC (JUSTCHAIN TM), the world’s first blockchain company for justice and public safety – including police, prosecutors, courts, public defenders, probation, correction/detention, immigration and citizens – to improve public safety and improve access to justice for citizens and justice partners.

Akbar Farook, Chief Executive Officer at JUSTICE CHAIN, notes that through JUSTCHAIN’s blockchain solution, law enforcement and justice partners will be able to transact and share mission-critical information in real-time, providing accurate information about the incident, charges, complaint, arrest warrants, court orders, and bench warrants, among others. Consequently, this will lead to efficient, effective and timely decisions in the court and related justice partner systems. Citizens will be able to interact with the government in a more seamless and transparent manner than ever before – whether it is filing of a complaint with the police, receiving updates on their petitions filed with the courts, or assigning power of attorney to a public prosecutor, among others.

“SEED Group brings extensive knowledge of the business landscape in the UAE and MENA region combined with a drive to partner and invest in companies that provide innovative and breakthrough technologies to the region. This is a landmark partnership for JUSTICE CHAIN and we are excited and honored to be a strategic partner with The Private Office of Sheikh Saeed Bin Ahmed Al Maktoum and SEED Group, to implement our blockchain solution for law enforcement and justice departments in the UAE and MENA region augmented with IoT and AI,” said Akbar Farook.

Hisham Al Gurg, CEO of SEED Group and The Private Office of Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmed Al Maktoum, sees the potential of the digital economy in the Middle East, which includes everything from small businesses improving their supply chain to businesses creating mobile apps, all the way to governments deploying large-scale e-government solutions, which will certainly unfold the largest digital transformation recorded in the book of history. And thus, in view of the unique service of JUSTICE CHAIN, this strategic partnership gives JUSTICE CHAIN an edge over its competitors, as it also largely takes into account the vision of the Emirates Blockchain Strategy which aimed at using blockchain for digital transactions, providing a unique identification number to each customer pointing to their secure chain information by 2021.

“Blockchain technology has the potential to transform any industry, and if we begin to incorporate it into our justice and public safety system, that’s something else. It’s enormous and totally life-changing, especially when we have multi-stakeholder environments, businesses, and organizations like in public service,” said Hisham Al Gurg. “We’re thrilled to begin working with JUSTICE CHAIN in a greater capacity. Working with JUSTICE CHAIN will help ease the government service industry’s pain points. More accountability and transparency for customers is what its platform brings to the market – and that’s exactly what’s needed.”

“We are very hopeful that with our partnership, we will be able to contribute to UAE’s Vision 2021, primarily with one of the founding pillars – Safe Public and Fair Judiciary. We are also intrigued by the bold initiatives taken by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make Dubai a blockchain powered city by 2021. We are thrilled that we have an opportunity to contribute and participate in the unprecedented and bold initiatives of UAE with blockchain, IoT and AI implementations and looking forward to working with The Private Office,” Akbar concluded.

JUSTICE CHAIN is a start-up company headquartered in Washington, DC metro area but will soon be operating in Dubai. The partnership will also bolster the position of the UAE as the world’s first smart city.
